Hello everyone,

I mentioned in my previous articles that we can easily improve our actions with Actions Console and Dialogflow Console. In this article, I would like to talk about how we publish our actions. Let’s start ! 😊

After completed our action and what should we do now? First of all, on the left navigation, go to the deployment section in the actions console. Here, we have five heading and let’s progress by filling.

Company Details :

You may have company, developer, marketing contact. You are asked to enter your name, mail address and address information.

Directory Information :

We need to pay more attention in here. You can learn how the information you fill with the phone simulation.

  • Description : You should explain in two ways what your action can do. First, we need to enter a short description and then long description.
  • Sample Invocations : We should enter some sample invocations, or some phrases that users can say to invoke your actions. Don’t forget, tested your sample invocations in the simulator or on a device; if they don’t all work, won’t approve our actions project. For example, Talk to Seven Kingdoms or Speak to Seven Kingdoms is avaiable.
  • Images : The image size requirements are 1920 x 1080 pixels for the banner image and 192 x 192 pixels for the logo image.
  • Privacy and Consent : You must prepare the privacy policy text for your action. These will be made publicly available to users.

PS : You want your actions to be targeted at kids and families, toggle the For Families option. Enabling this option will require you to join the Actions for Families program. If your Actions features any alcohol or tobacco-related content, toggle the Alcohol and Tobacco option.

Location Targeting :

You can control region availability for your action, use the location targeting setting.

Surface Capabilities :

Your actions can appear on a variety of surfaces that the Google Assistant supports, such as phones (Android and iOS) and voice-activated speakers.

Surface capabilities let you control whether or not users can invoke your action, based on the surface they are using. If users try to invoke your action on an unsupported surface, they receive an error message telling them their device is unsupported.

Release :

Last part, production release lets you officially launch our actions to all the Google Assistant users. Navigate to Deploy > Release and click the Submit For Production button.

This will submit the current draft of your actions project for review. Our action will test policies and if it is approved, it will be available to users. If your action is approved 👇

I hope we perform many actions. 😊

Thanks for reading !

Also, I have GitHub repository for my Google Assistant series. I will share codes, links, and posts there. 👇
